Term Dates, Sessions and Fees 

Term Dates 

Compass Playgroup offers term time childcare only, in line with Edinburgh City Council academic calendar. Please check Edinburgh City Council website for school session dates which the Compass Playgroup aligns with. 

Sessions 

Compass Playgroup offers morning sessions (8.30am - 11.40am) Monday to Friday or full day sessions (8.30am - 3.00pm) Monday to Thursday. There is no full day session on a Friday, finish time is 11.40am. 

Fees

Playgroup fees are currently £15 for a morning session and £28 for a full day session. Invoices are sent monthly, payment can be made through bank transfer and the playgroup is registered with the Tax Free Childcare system.

Please note that fees are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and whilst the Committee strives to maintain low fees, it is essential that staff wages and other running costs are covered.

Council Funded Places 

As an Edinburgh City Council Partner Provider,  Compass Playgroup are able to offer 600 hours of Council funded places to eligible children, subject to availabilty. This can either be 5 morning sessions a week or 2 full day sessions and 1 morning sesssion. If required, extra sessions can be paid for on top of funded hours.
